I ran it on my own listings first.
I’ve hosted on Airbnb for over seven years. I built GradeYourListing as an automated listing audit for hosts — then pointed it at my own properties. It found things I’d missed for years.
What it caught
The first sentence of my description just stopped mid-thought, and a new one started. It had been live that way since the day I listed. One property had no photo of the outside of the house — only interiors. Another made guests click through eleven pictures of the same living room before they saw anything else. Not one of my photos had a caption.
Why I’d never noticed
I look at the back end — occupancy, revenue — not what a guest sees. Once a listing was booking, my head was already on the next one. I’d guess that’s true of most hosts with more than one place.
The fixes were the easy part
It drafted the missing photo captions, rewrote the broken sections, and flagged setup fields I hadn’t touched since launch — amenities, check-in instructions. I just reviewed and pasted them straight in.
